She suffered a stroke years ago on a train trip from Cedar Rapids to Waterloo and never recovered, leaving seven brothers and one sister and eleven grandchildren. Collision injures Hampton driver en route to Mason City game
Gus Reinhart his wife and daughter Phyllis along with Mr and Mrs Delbert Shepard and Robert Harris were driving to Mason City Tuesday evening to see the Waverly Mason City basketball game when their car collided with a vehicle driven by Mr Derst of Hampton. Derst sustained a fractured skull and was taken to the Hampton hospital. occupants of the Waverly car escaped injury. Both cars were badly damaged.
