Denver Public Library Receives Kinney-Lindstrom Grant
The Denver Public Library announced a 12000 dollar grant from the Kinney-Lindstrom Foundation to expand and remodel the pressa library facilities. Walters Construction of Cedar Falls won the bid for 16097.81, with plans for a four phase expansion to be finished by March 15, 1972. Funds include 12000 grant, 2000 tax funds, and 1000 from Denver Savings Bank, with a goal to raise 4000 more.

Born June 14 1886 he was the son of Wilhelm and Minnie Carstensen Buchholz and a lifelong Bremer county resident. Survived by wife Louise two sons Emil E and Leo both of rural Waverly and 13 grandchildren.
