Pad Released Through the Bremer County Extension Director notes soybean prices remain high relative to oil and meat. Farm Economist William Uhrig foresees prices mostly steady or slightly lower over 2 to 3 months, with oil markets driving earlier gains and meat likely carrying any further increases.
Ray Fairholm of rural Denver was elected as Maxfield township representative on the Bremer County Extension Council for a two year term starting January 1964. Other members elected in November include Mrs. W. H. Heffernan Douglas township Wallace Miller Frederika township Oren Briden Jackson township Ralph Albrecht Sumner township and Lorenzo Lenins Washington township. The council governs the County Extension Service program.
The NT 4-H Club met at Janet Dietz home with nine members. Talks included Food For Health by Dixie Ruehs and Health Project by Sharyl Brase. The Jefferson Superiors met at Ken and William Simmer home with 18 members. A tool panel demonstration was given and gifts were exchanged.
