Henry Bartling Buried Here After Waterloo Death
Henry F. Bartling former city resident died at his Waterloo home last Wednesday. He was born May 8 1859 in Illinois and married Augusta Redemann of Tripoli 49 years ago. His wife passed away in 1893. In 1897 he married Anla Brula of Grant City Missouri and is survived by a son W G Bartling. He worked as a blacksmith for many years.

Indicted Mail Theft by 83 Year-Old Hans Hanson
Hans Hanson, 83, formerly of this city, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Cedar Rapids for theft of a mail pouch from the Buckingham Iowa depot last February. He received a ten year federal prison sentence at Fort Leavenworth Kansas and a $1000 fine.
