Funeral Held Sunday For Wm Ambrose 76 Tripoli Businessman
Funeral services for Wm Ambrose 76 long time Tripoli businessman were held Sunday at Rettig Funeral home and Congregational church. He died after a lingering illness and was buried in Fremont cemetery. Ambrose born June 17 1879 in Tripoli grew up there and married Martha Wynhoff in Waterloo May 29 1906. He worked at several creamery and auto ventures including the Ford agency in Tripoli and the Wm Ambrose Auto Co. He served on the Town Council for 18 years and held multiple leadership posts in local organizations. He is survived by son Robert and daughter Gladys Cline among others.

Reorganization of Tripoli District Praised By Wright
J C Wright state superintendent praised the proposed Tripoli Independent School District reorganization at a citizen committee meeting. The plan would serve 600 to 700 pupils with a 4.5 to 5 million dollar property base. A straw vote showed 69 in favor, 59 opposed, 64 undecided. petitions will launch the election process after county board hearings.

Twelve Girls 4-H Exhibits Win At Iowa State Fair

Frederika Resident Killed in Quarry Accident
Frederika, Iowa special report. Hugh P. Seeley, 53, recently living near the town, was killed Tuesday morning at the Kane lime quarry four miles west of Alta Vista. He was thrown from his truck as it hit another returning truck at the quarry entrance. rear wheels passed over him. Coroner Dr. Paul C. Richmond said Seeley was born November 17, 1901 and formerly lived in Galena, Indiana. He is survived by his widow and two sons from a prior marriage.
