New teachers will fill junior and senior grades while elementary staff remains stable. Hospitalized Couple After Gravel-Road Crash Sunday
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Trent of Tripoli were hospitalized after an automobile accident Sunday on a gravel road between Monticello and Manchester. Mrs. Trent had minor injuries while Dale sustained a crushed vertebrae. they were returning home from Monticello to Tripoli where Dale works as local manager of Peoples Natural Gas.

Potter Siding Route Truck Demolished in Readlyn Area
Wm Brandhorst of Tripoli escaped injury Friday morning when his 1952 Chevrolet milk truck overturned one and a half miles south of Readlyn while returning from Potter Siding Cooperative Creamery Co route pickup. The truck was a total loss.

Tripoli to Gel Chlorine Water Disinfection Plan
Tripoli's Town Council and Mayor Barnes order a full water system cleaning and disinfection starting Thursday at 4 p.m. and lasting until 6 a.m. Friday. Residents should stockpile drinking water beforehand as chlorine will be strong for consumption. Mayor Barnes says drinking water remains safe and the steps are precautionary. Auto Crash Hospitals Two in Sumner County
Two people were hospitalized in good condition at Sumner hospital after an auto mishap on a gravel road near Spring Fountain creamery on Tuesday afternoon. Susan Werner of Sumner displayed the grand champion baby beef, a 1025 pound Angus steer, at the Bremer county 4-H Fair in Waverly August 9 to 12, also earning reserve grand champion with a 1125 pound Hereford. Her steers were breed champions of the Angus and Shorthorn breeds. other champions and numerous blue ribbons named include Gary Howe, Gordon Howe, Delbert Simpson, Dean Miller, and many more. A record 88 beef steers and 28 beef heifers were shown, plus market pigs and lambs with multiple blue ribbons and showmanship honors.
