Ames M. Eveland, PMA chairman, released township results naming community committeemen delegates to the county PMA. Dayton, Douglas, Franklin, and Frederik a townships each chose chairs and voting delegates, with multiple alternates and voting delegates listed for Fremont, Jackson, Jefferson, Leroy, Maxfield, Polk, Sumner, Warren, and Washington townships. The voting delegates will convene in Wa verly on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 9:00 AM to elect the county committee.

Scouts Awarded At Bremer Boy Scout Court Of Honor
In Tripoli Bremer Boy Scout court of honor held in the town park Monday night, 16 Scouts from eight troops received awards. Local Explorer Scouts Paul Bremer Jack Martin Wally Miller Phil Snyder Mark Wilm harmon Terry Dreyer and others earned badges and stars while Tripoli Boy Scouts David Block Veryle Kelsey etc won first and second class honors. The troop received a Liberty Bell plaque for 1952 and a banner for national recognition. The event, outdoors, featured Wapsipinicon council officials and scout master W A Meyer.

Wapsie Sportsmen's Club Fish Fry Draws Large Crowd
Nine hundred attended the Wapsie Sportsmen's Club fifth annual fish fry at the Tripoli ball park Tuesday evening. Nearly 600 pounds of fish were consumed as the crowd enjoyed Little German band led by Dennis Kirchhoff and accordion selections. Dr. W. G. Goebel presided as master of ceremonies with six flyers speeding prizes to hundreds of attendees.

Fire Destroys Car On Wiblishauser Farm
The Tripoli area fire department responded to a noon fire at the Wiblishauser farm southeast of Tripoli. A 1942 Chevrolet car was totally destroyed. farm buildings remained unharmed. The cause is unknown as the family dined when the fire was found.

Leslie Schmidt fractured the small bone in the lower left leg after a fall in his farm machine shed Monday afternoon. He was taken to Barry’s office for treatment, the leg placed in a cast, and he is able to get around.

Tripoli Couple Led to Ditch in Wet Shoulder Crash
Mrs Otterstetter seriously injured with three broken ribs and a broken arm after a car driven by her husband swerved on a slippery pavement shoulder two miles south of Denver. The vehicle left the road and rolled into a ditch. Mrs Bung er suffered a cracked rib. Both men escaped with minor bruises. Mrs Otterstetter hospital bound for at least a week.
