Equipment Purchase Authorized Tri State Receives NSF Grant
Tri State College announced a National Science Foundation grant of 15000 dollars for undergraduate instructional scientific equipment. The award, the first NSF grant for the college, supports purchasing oscilloscopes vacuum tube voltmeters high frequency counters phase meters and other lab gear for the Electrical Engineering Department under Dr Gilchrist. Purchases will be staged over the coming year with items bought as needed.

Seven Tri-State College students from Hillsdale College Michigan and Defiance College Ohio visited Bryan Ohio as guests of the Bryan Rotary Club on Friday May 14. The group toured Aro Corporation Bard Manufacturing plants and Bryan High and Washington Elementary Schools. They also visited private homes of Dr and Mrs Ralph Cunningham and Mr and Mrs Donald C Johnson, ending with a reception at the Spangler home. The Aro Corporation manufactures automotive equipment industrial tools and aeronautical parts. Continued on page 3.
