Pocket Tutor device eyed as college cheating aid
College students at Northwestern and other campuses received brochures for a pocket size helper called Pocket-Tutor sold for 9.95 dollars and powered by batteries. The device resembles a cigarette pack with a controlled wristwatch that dispenses a roll of paper containing formulas and dates when tilted. City and postal inquiries found no clear legal violation, though officials see potential misuse. Inventors say the tool was meant for studying during wasted time and have not received enough orders to start production.
