Nucatola proposes new rule to curb fifth foul exits
John Nucatola , supervisor of officials for the ECC, argues basketball should not eject players after their fifth personal foul. His plan keeps the player in, awards normal free throws to the opponent, and grants possession at mid court on subsequent fouls, a concept already tested in several leagues. Prominent coaches and leagues show support, urging trial in the Mid-Central Conference next season.
