Queen of the Hills Mining adopts Thomson Houston power system
At a Great Falls stockholders meeting the Queen of the Hills Mining Company approved a Thomson Houston electric power and light plant. The system includes two 150 horsepower Ball high speed engines and four dynamos to operate an electric hoist drills pumps and lighting with six drills planned to run and a three compartment shaft to 500 feet initially.
