General Banderas Reported Killed in Cuban Engagement

From Havana to Sancti Spiritus reports state General Quentin Banderas led negrgents in the July 1 fighting at Papaya Heights and was killed. Lightning kills corporal at Peekskill military camp

A lightning strike at the New York State Military Camp in Peekskill on July 12 killed Corporal J. J. McDonald of Company A, Second New York Regiment. Several others were knocked unconscious and one or two remain in serious condition.
