Thousands of Christian Endeavor delegates arrive by train to San Francisco for a citywide welcome. An arch on Market Street and bright Endeavor colors decorate streets, hotels, and stores as 2500 delegates report and more are expected to join. Delegates Arrive as Salt Lake Hosts Endeavor Train Parade

Death of a Chicago magnate by a toy bomb

Henry B. Thomas Bolts an inmate of the state hospital for the insane in Stockton California died after he performed a self administered operation in a barn loft. Northwestern Mines Develop Work Near Troy Montana

The Big Eight property six miles from Troy Montana on Callahan creek advances rapidly with a cross cut tunnel 270 feet long of which half is finished. Ore is silver lead and touted as a strong concentrating product similar to B B mine ore. The seven year old claim was bonded for 65000, explored, abandoned, and revived last spring. When lead is found, machinery will be installed. Also notes Hi Vu mine in Florence Idaho sold to Clem B King for about 6000. The Hivu once paid around 50000 to its original owners. Five Injured in Chicago Train Engine Explosion

Butler Durst Chicago July 2 Five men were injured when the engine of an incoming suburban train on the Chicago and Northern Pacific railway exploded between Morgan Park and Thirteenth Street stations at full speed. Injured include engineer John Fogg badly burned and scalded possibly fatally, fireman John Latshaw crushed and scalded likely to die, and three unnamed Blue Island men bruised but recovering.

Balloon accident claims six year old at Blair's Park

Bertraman Hill son of Chauncey Hill Los Angeles architect was carried aloft by a balloon rope during an ascent at Blair's Park in San Francisco and died when he fell to the ground. Frightful collision ties up Northwestern line near West Chicago

A rear end crash on the Chicago and Northwestern line 30 miles from Chicago at 1 45 yesterday morning killed three people Mrs R Shipman of Appleton Wis John Gooding of Austin Nev and an unknown tramp and injured about 20 residents of Wisconsin. Section 5 plowed into section 4 sending nine trains out at 15 minute intervals. Rescue teams aided victims as two hotels became makeshift hospitals and officials investigated the cause.

Worst Storm in Duluth Wrecks Homes and Falls of Rail Lines

A record rainfall in Duluth Friday night floods creeks and washes out tracks. Several houses were carried into the lake but residents escaped.
