The Arizona State Fair showcases prize cattle and fat stock drawing hundreds. The stock parade leads with bands, stretching over a mile, and horses including draughts and western stock receive extra attention. Sheep section upgrades include remodeled pens, uniform pens, and generous prizes, with judging beginning Tuesday and divisions expanded to three.
The State Fair offers prizes in hog and hominy contests under two heads. Boys and girls compete in Duroc Jersey pig prizes, canning club displays, and crop reports. A State Fair Cafeteria under the grandstand, modern kitchen and ample seating will serve visitors, with careful planning to improve the fair experience and attract crowds.
