George Thompson was arrested yesterday afternoon at Pairunk by Sheriff Wheeler for bringing whiskey into the state. On route from Rodeo to Tombstone, two grips containing pint marks were found. He waived preliminary exam, pled guilty before Judge Fowler, and received 00 days in jail and a $25 fine. he began serving within an hour, a record for rapid sentencing.

Deputy Bowden Captures Mescal Shipment in Douglas
On October 22 Deputy Sheriff Percy Bowden seized a trunk with nearly 100 pint bottles of mescal imported from El Paso, marking the first such capture in Douglas since prohibition began ten months ago. A second trunk of equal quantity and inferior whiskey was found, with only two trunks from El Paso arriving this morning aside from drummer trunks.
