Prescott March 4. Ramsty Patterson again demonstrates prowess by bringing a full grown mountain lion carcass to town after it attacked a horse near Walnut Grove. The eight foot long, 200 pound beast killed ten hunting dogs, wounded two others, and nearly claimed Patterson’s life before a lucky rifle shot ended the fight. Local stockmen salivate over the hunt as Patterson reports about 400 dollars earned this month from pelts and rewards, with plans to return to the country soon.
