Bids Sought for Cantonment Lumber in Douglas
In Douglas on an upcoming Wednesday at 10 o’clock bids will be opened for 2,500,000 feet of lumber to build the cavalry cantonment at Camp Harry J. Jones. The project may attract bidders from across the southwest as Arizona may lack sufficient lumber for the large job. Construction start depends on lumber delivery, with officials expecting no material in less than 29 days. Capt. W. W. Curtis says buildings could be completed within 60 days of starting, with 250 carpenters and 100 laborers, arriving by April 1 at the earliest.

Explosion Plot Foiled Near Waterworks In Florida
Deputy sheriff Kiam trailed a Mexican suspect amid an alleged plot to destroy the Inspiration war gardens between there and Miami. He found three and a half sticks of giant powder and four feet of fuse hidden near water sprinkling pipes. The Mexican said he got the explosives for a man whose name he supplied.

Powers Sisson Outlaws Captured in Old Mexico
Tom Powers, John Powers, and Tom Sisson, wanted for the February 10 slayings of Graham County officers, were captured by U S cavalry south of Hachita New Mexico after following them into Mexico. They surrendered without a fight and are extra guarded at Hachita. The man hunt, once numbering about 1000 men, is described as the southwest’s greatest man hunt.
