Special to The Prospector reports active fighting south of Agua Prieta with Mexican federals clashing against rebels near Cabiona and in Naco. Dispatches note artillery and machine gun fire, troop movements from Agua Prieta toward Juarez, and ongoing skirmishes threatening nearby towns.
The list covers Congregational and Catholic services with times. Congregational events include Sunday school at 10, morning sermon on Modern Epistles of Christ, evening sermon on Retraining Power of Truth, Epworth League at 7, led by Pastor H A Deer and P H Borgix. Catholic services note Masses on fourth Sunday and other daily observances, with Mrs Wm Cavanagh as superintendent and Rev W A McRen as pastor.
The Knights of Korrassan will meet in Tempe at Et Yoramah Temple Phoenix on Wednesday night of next week. A dramatic display includes a large coast of tyre and burning sand with animals fed. A street parade is planned with much red ore burned and elaborate devices showcased.
The Ladies Aid Society of the Congregational church hosts a tea this afternoon at Mr Henry Kinsleys home. The event draws both Tombstone ladies and gentlemen and is expected to raise a neat sum for the society.

A Denver dispatch reports John O. Umof Denver has resigned from forty years with the U S government to join a publicity department in 5 poised exposition at a salary of 6000 dollars yearly. His last role with Uncle Sam was post office inspector in Denver. He was Tombstone’s first postmaster in 1888 and a co owner of the Epitaph, aiding government work in Alaska in 189? and a longtime friend of Chief Prepector Cochran.
A report from Nacoziari Mexico states about 250 rebels led by Rojas entered the town causing excitement but not disrupting operations at Moctezuma Copper and Phelpa Dodges. Rebels appear well supplied having purchased vast amounts of supplies from company stores.

A large crowd attended the Gage Hall matinee dance described as the season’s biggest. The Blackburn Orchestra provided music, with dancing from early evening until 11:30, a break for supper, then continuing to 2:30 am when Home Sweet Home was played.
Twenty five third grade pupils from the public school with teacher Miss Elizabeth Axtell enjoyed a picnic at Landers ranch near town. They left at 9 AM and will return this afternoon. A lunch under a huge sycamore tree and various games were featured activities.
