The grand jury finished work this afternoon filing its final report and was discharged. It commended county officers and improvements, with several indictments listed including murder burglary grand larceny and forgery. Multiple defendants faced trials and verdicts or pleas were recorded, with cases spanning local clubs and resorts in the Bieber area.
Progressive Whist Club held a social night at Clodtopper's Retreat with Messrs Grant Warner and Matthew Aelin as veterans. Willem Boyd captured the resoue's championship while Louis Kochentecker earned consolation honors. Plans for future meetings include a novelty progressive whist with homes designated No 1 through No 4. Nogates Sonora reports an insurrecto Junta claim that an incident will be carried out on Sunday from two sites. The dispatch cites two separate locations as origins of the action and notes it is expected to unfold over the weekend.

The funeral of R. C. Kettlewell, aged sixty five, will be held tomorrow at 2 p m from the family residence at Second and Fulton streets. Services will be conducted by the Deck. He was a long active citizen and a kindly friend.
Miss Stall, a popular Tombstone High School teacher, resigns to care for her dying grandmother in Kansas. She has taught three years with perfect record. students and parents express sorrow and hope for her return. Miss Mary McDole of Cochise will succeed her as teacher.
