U S Captain Delivers Ultimatum to Mexican Rebels at Agua Prieta

Captain Gaujot warned rebels that the United States would send troops into Mexico if necessary to prevent bombardment of American border towns. He stated Americans would be harmed if fire crossed the line and implied Washington directives. The Douglas Chamber and others suspect orders came from Taft.

Public notice states the Clerk of the Board will auction pelts on April 18, 1911 at 1 p.m. in front of the Tombstone courthouse. Delegate W H Andrews of New Mexico urged the treasury secretary to finance an army of invasion into Texas to counter caterpillar threats described as gramme graes. A bill proposes spending 25 000 dollars and directing the agriculture secretary to deploy measures to exterminate the caterpillars threatening Texas and neighboring states including Colorado Oklahoma New Mexico and Arizona.

Judge Duncan to Speak to Tombstone Scouts Tuesday

Judge Duncan will address Tombstone Boy Scouts on Tuesday evening at the Congregational church. Auto Trip of Col Young Ends in Tombstone

Colonel WJ Young, president of the Great Western Mining Co., arrived in Tombstone from Los Angeles at noon in a large touring car. Geo Jackson served as chauffeur. the 150 mile run took about 5 hours with overnight stops along the way. Col Young, an auto enthusiast, continued to Courtland later that afternoon.
