Charlene Lamoreux’s dog sat under her desk while Mrs. Higgins visited Thursday during American History. Signel Wood has been absent over a week, returned Monday. We drew bird houses, shrubbery and trees outdoors on black paper with white chalk. Pupils brought Iowa History articles for booklets. reporters Faith and Hope Faul.

Frighth Ghoto News Raymhord Rickless was absent part of last week due to illness. We extend sympathy to Leona Glesking and Alvina Heesch as their grandfather passed away. Stanley Misher visited our room. Mr Harms made a small cupboard for trophy cups won by seventh and eighth graders. We will alternate Picture Study with Drawing in Art Class. Each pupil brought fifteen cents to buy miniature colored pictures. We drew Marigold posters last week and are enjoying The Hoosier Schoolmaster by Edward Egeleston. We are beginning United States geography and studying early modes of transportation. In Arithmetic we are learning to find the volume of a rectangular solid and to write rules as formulas.
