Separator Bowl Bursts Injuring Portland Woman
Mrs. Lem Stockwell, 24, of Portland township, was seriously hurt Sunday evening when a separator bowl burst. A metal disc struck her left arm above the elbow, tearing flesh and severing a main artery. Her husband tied the wound and she was taken for surgical care, remaining conscious until the doctor’s office. The Stockwells moved last spring to the old Callies farm.
