The Portland Progress Club will meet with Mrs Franz Teeter on Thursday afternoon February 17 with Mrs Ray Fitch and Mrs Harold Bates as assistant hostesses. Roll call is a valentine memory. Ken Stevens returns home after two years in Korea, Bernadine visits Indiana, and Mr and Mrs Ben Lampe visit Bancroft relatives with Gene Lampe family.
Report from Humboldt notes the Rural Electric Cooperative Association annual meeting. Local residents Mrs Jessie Miller and Mrs Elizabeth Kennedy visited Fort Dodge. Surgery for Mr Hugh Williams occurred in Rochester, with Mrs Williams there. Social events include Portland Club meetings, a shower for Mrs Ringsdorf, and visits from Ames and Mason City residents. Open house marks Charles Phelps and Hazel Carroll attending various family events amid other local social updates.
Algona residents hosted multiple Sunday gatherings with relatives and friends. Randy Nelson marked his fourth birthday at a family event. Donald Ringsdorf, Jay Stevens, and Ben Lampe households hosted visitors spanning Burt, Bancroft, and Coffeeville connections.
