Six Officers and Advisor Attend National FFA Convention
Six Thomson FFA officers and advisor Win Gengenbach attended the National FFA Convention in Kansas City, Missouri from October 11 to 14. The group visited Hoover Memorial in Iowa, toured several Kansas City sites, witnessed sessions, and concluded with travel to Truman Library and Mark Twain's cave in Hannibal before returning Saturday. The Thomson Legion Auxiliary announces an Educational Loan Fund for children of World War I II and Korean War veterans and the veterans themselves. Applications require contact with Mrs Turney or the Loan Fund Board. Scholarships by the American Legion Auxiliary include National President's Scholarships of 100 each, Illinois Opportunities up to 6060 and 350, and a son or veteran scholarship. a special fund provides 200 scholarships for daughters of living veterans.
