Lanark Woman Fined for Failure to Reduce Speed in Route 38 Crash

Shirley M. Lott, 83, was charged by state police with failure to reduce speed after a rear end collision on Route 38 west of Lanark involving a school bus and a car driven by Mrs. Robert Hill of Thomson. No injuries reported. Lott’s car damage estimated at 200 dollars while both other vehicles sustained 100 dollars.

AAUW Meeting Addresses Voting Rules and Revenue Issue

Mount Carroll AAUW will hear talks on voting procedures and the revenue amendment with County Clerk William M. Nipe opposing and Russell Lamoreux supporting. Lamoreux Joins Percy Campaign Farm Policy Panel

Russell E. Lamoreux of Lanark Illinois is named to the Farm Policy Advisory Committee for the Percy for Senator campaign. The panel has been active since mid September after a delay from campaign interruptions. Lamoreux is a former director of the Illinois Agriculture Association and of the Country Life Insurance Company and a past Farm Bureau County President.

Chestnut Park PTA Talent Show Slated for Oct 22
