A total of 2146 men aged 21 to 36 registered in Carroll County last Wednesday under the selective service act. Registrants included many duck hunters from outside the county in York township. Lanark Man Convicted of Indecent Liberties With Minor
Roy Hogmire age 52 was found guilty by a circuit court jury of taking indecent liberties with a child and received an indeterminate penitentiary term of one to 20 years. The offense was alleged to have occurred June 6 against a 14 year old Lanark girl. Wilbur Whitmer 54 pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and awaits sentencing after arrest by Lanark police.
