A top boar brought 440 dollars at the Huggins Hog Sale held Friday night at a farm south of Algo Fa. An average of 115 dollars per head was paid for 49 boars sold. A large crowd attended with buyers from Wisconsin Iowa and many points in Tl iavis. The sale was advertised in the Review.

Carlos Rubio a 15 year old from Savanna was arrested in Rockford on a runaway report and questioned about robberies in Boone DeKalb and Carroll counties. La Verne Troxell Mt Morris admitted stolen plate and confessed to multiple school robberies and other thefts implicated Rubio and his younger brother William. Elizabeth man electrocuted on Jo Carroll farm line
Al Artian about 40 of Elizabeth was electrocuted Wednesday afternoon while working on the Jo Carroll line at the Herman Daehler farm southwest of Chadwick. The accident occurred about 2 p m. Thomas and Sterling firemen and two physicians. An inquest at the Frank funeral home in Chadwick Wednesday night returned a verdict of accidental death. No serving relatives information available. he was reportedly unmarried.

A Springfield motorist dodged a fine after Mt. Carroll's city marshal cited him for parking in front of the Mt. Carroll school house. Justice Frank Schroeppel refused payment due to absence of “no parking” signs, noting out of town drivers should not be penalized without clear markers. Miss Minerva Patton aged 82 of Mt Carroll died in a Moline hospital at 5 15 p m on October's day. Services were held at 2 p m Saturday in Frank funeral chapel with Rev K K Olafson officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill cemetery. She was born December 17 1863 in Jo Daviess county and lived much of her life in Mt Carroll. No close relatives survive.

Remove All Control On Meat Prices Sparks Market Jump
