Amanda Howe Heide 91 of Coleta died at 10 30 in Morrison after an extended illness. Funeral 1 30 pm Wednesday Nov 23 at Frank Funeral Home Chadwick with Rev Robert Webb officiating. Burial Oak Knoll near Sterling. Surviving 12 children, four sisters, three brothers, and many grandchildren. Her husband William G Heide preceded her in 1961.

FFA Students Win Honors In Corn Contest
FFA students David Thormahlen Bob Wiltshire and Kenneth Dykstra posted the top corn yields in the section covering Carroll Whiteside and Lee counties with 196.0 187.1 and 185.3 bushels per acre under Vocational Agriculture supervision. They used Pioneer varieties and detailed planting and fertilizing methods amid a drought year in 1966.
