Farmer Kills Eagle West Of Chadwick Farm
On Friday morning at the Charles Guinther farm five miles west of Chadwick Mr. Guinther and Bill Schlagenhour killed a large eagle weighing ten pounds with a seven foot wing span. The bird had lingered near the area for a week and had killed several chickens prompting its capture in a fox trap. A crowd gathered in Chadwick after they brought the dead eagle to town.
