Farmers Plan Annual Event at Community High School

At a meeting last Thursday the Board and Shipping Assoc. finalized plans for their annual banquet and officer election to be held Tuesday evening May 3 at Community High School. The program will include a short entertainment and a social hour with open participation. Elections run 8 to 9 with nominations beforehand, and this year both men and women will attend in one body if space allows.

Methodist Men And Friends Visit Savanna M E Church

The Savanna Methodist church hosted a men’s meeting Tuesday evening with 33 attendees from the local area. They arrived around eight, enjoyed an excellent program and luncheon, and were hosted by Savanna residents into the night. Attendees included Rev. Clarke Williams, Dr. F. J. Melugin, W. D. M. Cone, H. Rawlins, K. B. Carpenter, C has. Groharing, Robi Grohar, W. A. Adams, E. C. Millard, Daniel Harney, O. F. Mudd, Wm. Payman, Eben Fields, Chas. Vitzer, Kyle Melendy, Wealey Martindale, Franklin Martindale, A. W. Pape, R. L Puller, hone Pape, James Frost, tert Rawlins, Clarence Menity, and others.

Baccalaureate Sermon At Meth Church Sunday Night

The baccalaureate sermon will be given by Clark Williams at the Methodist church Sunday night to the graduating class and friends. The theme titled The Supreme Union urges all to attend as Albany team faces a game this coming day per manager Lewis.

Religious Education and Youth Leaders Convene County Event

A county gathering schedules sessions on religious education and youth church work. Notable events include addresses by Leon C. Tyler on Youth and the Church and The Challenge of the New Day, morning devotions, committee appointments, installation of officers, and an evening program with entertainment and lodging for delegates. County officers listed include W A Adams and G R Bliss as vice presidents, J E Humbert as secretary, F W Zugschwerdt as treasurer, and several superintendents from Chadwick Milledgeville Lanark and surrounding areas.

Clinton All Star Team Beats Locals 9 to 1 in Windy Game

In a windy Sunday matchup Clinton All Star Americans defeated the local squad 9 to 1. The locals struggled, failing to convert key plays while Clinton appeared off form. Spectators expected fast action, and players vow better performances in upcoming games before Thomson’s fans and Carroll County melon reflections.

Eighth Grade Commencement Monday Eve at Methodist Church

Eighth grade graduation will be held Monday evening at the Methodist church with Rev Clarke Willams delivering the address. Class of 1924 to Graduate on Friday May 30

The class of 1924 will graduate Friday evening May 30 at the Christian church. Nine members are listed Leota Carroll Josephine Lohmeier Irene Martindale Vivian Sack Gladys Led Lucille Collinson John Crofton William Jenkins and William Hawk. The motto is Citab tho rocks be Ruged and colors purple and white with purple violet as the flower. Speaker name is not announced yet though conversations with several good talkers are in progress. Most graduates are from the township rather than the town.
