Lanark high school band won first in class at the state high school band tournament held in Urbana. Other Class C winners included Paxton Bensenville and Arthur. Twenty nine bands competed over two days showing statewide improvement. It is rumored Lanark may be sent to the World’s Fair in Chicago next year.
