Thomson merchant Thomas Cochran, 81, of Thorn ton New Jersey, was treated at Iroquois Hospital after two falls near La Salle and Jackson in Chicago. Doctors said possible skull fracture and injuries to an arm and hand. He remained under care for at least two weeks.

Miss Mery Come notes Harrie Gilbert’s parents in poor health in Freeport. Mrs. Harry Dyson has been in poor health for weeks.
Mr and Mrs Derayne McCullagh are proud parents of a son named Robert born Monday May 2.
Church notices recount Mother's Day services at the Baptist church with Rev Langdoe delivering the sermon at 7 30 p m Also special music planned and a Sunday evening service at 7 30 Attendance at the ladies aid meeting with Mrs Roy Heitman was about fifty five A Sunday school social at the home of Mr and Mrs Frank Smith featured a novelty program and refreshments After services the program included songs prayers and readings by local members.
The Argo Methodist Church schedules Sunday school at 16:00 with preaching at 12:00. The sermon will honor Mother's Day and focus on appreciation for mothers.
Catholic regular services are set for next Sunday with an 8 PM program led by men and attended by mothers and daughters. Sunday morning features annual Mother's Day services. the Ladies' Aid handles arrangements. Junior CE will be led by Leslie St. Ores and Eddie Green. Mrs Helen Gaar Ame will wed this Saturday before quarantine lifts. she and the children will visit Mt Carroll with Ed McGinty.

Applications for bus drivers and sanitarium positions to be received at the next meeting. Mrs Demmick hosts dinner honoring Benny five and Bob three with grandparents and Glendora Schade in attendance.
Royal Neighbors and invited guests held a Tuesday meeting at the lodge hall. She has typing and bookkeeping experience and five years of office stenography work. Thomas will graduate from the University of Illinois this June with high honors and a State Teachers certificate. She is a Phi Beta Kappa member. The salary will be $1100.00.
A dated April 26 1932 letter from L A Tuggle Co Supt of Schools endorses Glenn Deaf as a high quality candidate for the U S H S principal elect post. It notes his years as superintendent of grades and high school principal in Poomac Township and praises his conduct and leadership, urging favorable consideration by the board.
