News reached Thomson on Tuesday of the sudden death of Myron Gotham of Madison Wisconsin a cousin of Harold Elliott. Gotham died after being crushed between two railroad cars at work in Madison. Mr and Mrs Elliott learned of the tragedy while in Springfield and left Wednesday to attend the funeral arrangements.

Lynn Bower of Thomson is named winner of the DeKalb Agricultural Accomplishment Award for outstanding agriculture seniors. Funeral Services Held Today For William Robertson 90
William H Robertson aged 90 of Argo Fay died at Shannon nursing home after a nine day stay. Funeral services were held at 1 PM in Frank funeral home Mt Carroll with Rev William Kendall officiating and burial in Lower York cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Del Curley Milford Miller Donald Robertson Raymond Knutsen Robert Houzenga and Milton Miller. Surviving are four daughters two sons 25 grandchildren 38 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
