County Legion Meeting Held in Chadwick Friday Evening
Storm kept many Car rall county American Legion members away from the Chadwick gym but attendees reported an interesting evening. Commander Jones of Lanark opened the meeting and Eber Shepherd outlined cemetery plot projects for veterans and auxiliaries for Memorial Day use. A Chadwick boy quartet entertained and refreshments followed served by Chadwick post members.

Poultry pricing shifts reflect rising demand and supply
Chicago stores and other cities push eggs at 12 and 15 cents a dozen to spur consumption as production tightens and hot weather improves balance. Farmers selling hens flood markets amid rising prices, with prices likely to move upward as demand grows and storage stocks decline, aided by regional comparisons from the Midwest.
