Father of Joe Shutters Dies at 82 in Stockton
George Curtiss Shutters 82 of Stockton died Monday night after a long illness in Deaconess hospital Freeport. He was the father of Joe Shutters of Stockton. Funeral services set for Thursday 1:30 p.m. at Hermann funeral home Stockton with burial in Ladies Union Cemetery. He was born in Crothersville Indiana and lived in Stockton over 50 years. He married Ella Wash on Oct 10 1898. He farmed and later worked for the state highway department and was a retired railroad employee. Surviving are three sons Jason Phoenix Arizona Joseph Thomson and Clifford Stockton. four daughters Mrs Henry Page Stockton Mrs Effie Clarida Janesville Wisconsin Mrs John Kirkwood Chicago and Mrs Frank Atkins Savanna. seven grandchildren three step-grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Mary W. Cone 81 lifelong Thomson resident died Sunday at Mercy Clinton Hospital. A Thomson Me Church member and former York Township school treasurer, she and her father long held the office. Funeral services were held at Fay funeral home with burial in Lower York cemetery. She was survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
