Satirical tale of a snowbank rescue and a dream
A narrator recounts a chaotic day starting with a sales trip and a funeral plan, then an adventurous rescue by a crowd at a seven hills snowbank. He describes misadventures at an auction, a harebrained plan to shoot a pheasant out of season, and a group effort to lift a car from snow. The tale ends with a dream sequence of fish, cheese, and a chaotic party, concluding with a long farewell.
