Carroll County Conservation District to Meet February 25
The Carroll County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its annual meeting and Extension Soil and Crops Day on Wednesday February 25 1970 at 10 30 a m in the Naaman Diehl Auditorium Mt Carroll. The program centers on minimum tillage with a panel of local farmers, agronomist William Oschwald of the University of Illinois and Apple River Chemical Company’s Ralph Michael presenting data and results. Elections for three directors will be held to two year terms. A lunch is provided by Carroll Service Company Lanark.

District Tourney Set for Thomson February 26–27
The district basketball tourney will be held in Thomson on February 26 and 27. Thursday evening Shannon meets Chadwick at 7 pm and Thomson faces Tampico at 8:15 pm. The two winners meet Friday at 7:30 pm for the championship with the victor advancing to Lanark regionals.
