Near zero temperatures and a bitter northwest wind made the weekend uncomfortable. Sunday winds eased but it stayed cold. Monday morning brought five to ten degrees above zero as snow began to fall after daybreak.
Hanover Man Sentenced in Manslaughter Crash
Glenn Richardson, 23, of Hanover, was sentenced to one to 14 years in a state prison after a Jo Daviess County jury found him guilty of manslaughter for a head on collision near Hanover last Aug. 24 that killed four people. His attorney’s motion for a new trial was withdrawn after Richardson waived counsel. The defendant was taken to prison earlier this week.
