Cattle and Swine Electrocuted at Workman Farm

Louis Workman of the Charles Gordon farm east of Thomson reports two valuable milk cows a heifer and two brood sows were electrocuted last Tuesday at the drinking fountain in the barn. The loss was covered by insurance.

Mrs. Antone Holmquist hosted a birthday gathering last Tuesday afternoon for her daughter Penny turning four. Mrs. Lloyd Bruckner Injured in Silage Unloader Accident

Mrs. Lloyd Bruckner was severely injured Saturday morning when caught in a silage unloader on their farm. She was taken to Savanna Hospital with serious bruises and a severely cut leg and was expected to undergo surgery that week.

Trojans Drop Nineteen Point Defeat to Hanover Red Devils

The Thomson Trojans fell 91 to 81 to Hanover in a tight game. Hanover led early and relied on five starters in double figures, while Thomson’s Bill Spencer scored 25 and Don Groharing 20 as Thomson battled back through the third before a 14 point final period. Hold Funeral Services Today For Mrs William Robertson

The Thomson Lions held their monthly meeting at the school voting to sponsor the annual Athletic Banquet for grade and high school athletics. The event will be on the 26 at the school cafeteria with a Clean-Up Campaign committee appointed including Orville Gablin Emil Brach Pete Cate and Kyle McGinnis.
