Thomson considers sewer system despite lukewarm support
The Thomson village board met for its monthly session. Engineer R Hanson from Savanna presented sewer plans and costs. Of 250 owner surveys, 45 responses showed 40 against and 5 for the proposal. The $87 yearly charge would vary by usage. A petition could place the issue before the board with 12 to 14 names. The board also voted to add street lighting by the school.

Walter Holland Injured in Fall at Thomson High School
Walter Holland a Thomson High School sophomore sustained a head injury after slipping on icy school walk last Friday. He was knocked unconscious and taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Clinton for X rays before being discharged Saturday. He is son of Mr and Mrs Gilbert Holland.
