Savanna Women Hurt in Highway Collision Near Sabula
Four Savanna women were injured in a head-on crash five miles south of Sabula at 5 30 Tuesday afternoon. Mrs C N Jenks and Mrs J L Brearton were taken to Savanna hospital. Milledgeville War Veteran Walter Sunderland Dies at 91
Walter F. Sunderland of Milledgeville, Civil War veteran and longtime Post Office visitor, died Sunday morning at about 8 50 from a heart attack. He was nearly 92, survived by daughters Cora and Ruby Sunderland, and his chow Pansy. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Sunderland home with Rev. W. S. Feldwisch officiating. The death leaves two Carroll County Civil War veterans, J. L. Chambers and W. H. Wildey, in the area.

Truck Nose-Dives Into Ditch After Steering Gear Failure
A large truck driven by Clyde Leitz of Milledgeville veered off near the Moly farm one mile west of Chadwick due to steering gear failure. The front wheels rested in the ditch bottom while the radiator touched the far bank. no injuries and only minor damage. A Caterpillar tractor from county road crew helped remove the vehicle.
