Former York girl Doris McNutt dies in Zion Ill
Word reaches York of Doris Ivy Prestage McNutt death at 27 in Zion Illinois on November 26 1982. She attended Thomson York Baptist church affiliations and was born in England September 1 1905. Survived by husband Arthur Robert McNutt and both parents Rev A G Prestage Minnie Prestage. Funeral held in Zion with Christian Catholic Apostolic church services. The obituary notes a stillbirth earlier in November and recalls her faith in Christ.

High School Inspector Set to Visit Thomson School
A state high school inspector from the University of Maine will visit Thomson School in the near future. Superintendent Glenn Demaree expects the reviewer to assess the school and report findings to the Admissions from Secondary Schools committee. Funeral Services For Bernie Densmore Held
Funeral services for Bernie Densmore were held with interment in Lower York. The Christian church ladies and society met Wednesday with Mrs Orella Bennett, welcoming back four members, including Mrs Ida Weber. Mrs Ma Webdy has been unable to leave her home since before July 4 and is now staying with her daughter Mrs Wasley Sach, glad to have regained health.

Ed Smith Enjoys Thomson Visit After A 30 Year Gap
Ed Smith of Washington D C visited Thomson this week renewing acquaintances from thirty years past. He worked for local employers in the 1890s, served in the light artillery, Boxer rebellion, and Spanish American War. Now retired in Washington he has never voted, and recounts stories of old times while staying with Mrs Snyder and the Rawlins. The Order of Eastern Stars meets next Thursday for regular business and officer elections at Wear Lodge Hall. Miss Decia Brooks and Miss Harriet Zuchswerdt hosted two tables of bridge at the Brockill residence with Dr Chipman winning high and Mrs Lewis second.
