Lynn Bower and David Lynch of York Community High School competed for district FFA foundation awards on April 4 in Rock Falls. Boys from 19 counties vied for 13 foundation awards. Brother of Harold Fedderson Dies At Iowa City Hospital
Leon Wessel Fedderson 50 of Route 3 Clinton died at University Hospital Iowa City. Services were held 2 p.m. Monday at St John’s Lutheran Preston with burial in Oakland Cemetery. He was born July 31 1911 in Bryant son of Emil and Lydia Fedderson. He married Lucille Rittmer September 24 1938 at Preston. Survived by widow a daughter Mrs Karen Ordt Columbus Ohio two sons Lonney Clinton and Richard at home two brothers Harold Thomson and Vailord Clinton one sister Mrs Chester Gray Miles two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Over 300 attend the annual Spring Concert by Thomson school bands held in the school gym. Legion Post 1025 voted a $10 Red Cross donation and announced officers and committees for the year.
