Mental Health Unit Votes to Join Tri-county Center
The Mental Health Association of Carroll County voted Monday night March 28 to join a tri county center with Whiteside and Ogle. A 2 member board would represent participating counties with a budget around 98000 dollars funded in part by state grants. The enlarged clinic would become a sub zone of the Rockford zone, serving up to 157000 people if Ogle joins.

Allen Sentenced to State Penitentiary for Burglary
Raymond Allen, 21, of Savannah, was sentenced in Carroll County circuit court to 1 to 10 years in the state penitentiary after pleading guilty to burglary of Weber's Farm Store in Chadwick on March 8. He had been held since March 17. three other burglary charges and a deceptive practices charge were dismissed.

James Tallis, harpsichordist, will headline the Shimer College Concert and Lecture Series on Tuesday April 12 at 7 30 pm in Metcalf Auditorium.
