Students and guests filled the school cafeteria and gymnasium with pink decorations, a candlelight dinner, and a late showing at the Savannah Times theater. The Carroll County Woman's Club held its April conference on Tuesday April 5 at York Baptist church Thomson. An all day meeting featured a luncheon at noon and Miss Esther Schmaling of Thomson presented A Trip to Hawaii with narrative and pictures. Officers elected for the coming year were Mrs J L Hoak Lanark president Mrs Hans Greison Savanna vice president and Mrs Wm Bates Lanark secretary treasurer Installing officers was Mrs Ray Polhill Milledgeville A memorial service was conducted for seven deceased members.
