The Quitman Advertiser announces the marriage of Prof J O Culpepper and Miss Daisy Lee Morse set for August 26 in Tallakas Georgia. Culpepper formerly Assistant Principal at Quitman Graded School and now runs a Perry Florida mercantile business and edits the Perry Herald. He was born and raised in Thomas County and has many friends in the county.

Tyus Captured in Jacksonville to Be Returned for Trial

Tyus, sought for the Cairo double murder of Town Marshal Aleck Godwin and his brother Jeff Godwin, was captured in Jacksonville Florida after police surrounded a house. He admitted shooting Jeff Godwin but denied killing the town marshal. He will be sent to Thomas County jail after requisition papers, with Governor Candler awaited.

Lebanon Pa Aug 29 A committee of striking workers from the American Iron and Steel Manufacturing Company visited General Manager Lord demanding removal of Reading men and others sent in and restoration of old bands. The request was refused and 1800 workers at the plant went out on strike.
