Cyrus H K Curtis noted publisher and philanthropist died at his home in Wyncote after an illness of more than a year. He would have been 83 on June 18. He started as a newsboy at 12 and rose to head Curtis Publishing Company. He funded the Benjamin Franklin Memorial with 2 million dollars and supported civic education and music. He leaves his daughter Mary Louise Curtis Bok and other family. Funeral Friday at his home with burial in West Laurel Hill Cemetery. Funeral details request no flowers.
