Thomasville Board okays water gas and license bids
The Thomasville Board of Commissioners held a regular meeting November 28 1955 with Mayor Varnedoe presiding. They approved minutes and a taxicab permit denial for Jake T Riffle, discussed business license revisions, and placed several ordinances on first reading. Bids for a one ton pickup were reviewed with Glover Motor Inc the low bid and approved. The board authorized a long railroad crossing utility easement and ordered a diesel machine purchase after bidding. Thomasville Ice and Mfg Co. license was approved pending ordinances.

The Meigs Parent-Teacher Association will meet Thursday at 7 30 p m in the high school gym for a musical program by students. A social hour with refreshments will be hosted by sixth and seventh grade mothers and the nursery will be open for small children.
