Negligence Claims Against Winthrop Fire Department Dismissed

The Popular Authors' Literary Club met at Mrs. Robert J. Gove's home to hear Mrs. A Walter Larkin review Gwen Bristow's The Handsome Road and enjoy musical numbers by club members. Vocal and violin pieces were performed, with remarks on recent Federation talks and a joint fundraising effort with Winthrop Women's Club to boost New England tourism. The April 11 meeting will be at Be on Villa hosted by Miss Myrtle W. Webster.

After the town meeting Moderator Joseph E. Davison announced three year appointments to the Advisory Committee. Reappointed were Thoman Donovan precinct 2 G Wallace Tibbetts precinct 4 George W Downie precinct 5 and Winfield S Kendrick Jr at large. New appointees were Willard Tibbetts precinct 1 and Albert A Tishler precinct 3.
