Plans for a new edifice for the First Church of Winthrop Methodist Episcopal were outlined at the first annual church night in Odd Fellows Hall Pauline Street. Parishioners pledged support to raise funds for the building as reported last week. A turkey banquet opened the event with Gardner Currier’s orchestra, and prayers were offered by Dr. Edward A. Elliott. Miss Bews sang two selections to the delight of attendees.

Tewksbury Resigns From Cemetery Board
John B. Tewksbury notified the Board of Selectmen of his resignation from the Cemetery Commissioners.
